Member Jayson Floyd and bro Justan direct Oklahoma's deadCENTER International Film Festival. Festival Director & OTFC Member Jayson Floyd (R) smiles for the camera while his filmmaker brother Justan mugs it up at a members-only reception following January 2002 OKFilm/IndieFest gig in Tulsa. The brothers Floyd co-founded Oklahoma's deadCENTER International Film Festival in 2001, held at OCU Campus in Edmond.

Membership Benefits

v DISCOUNT SUBSCRIPTION to INDIE SLATE MAGAZINE! New for member year 2001-2002, OTFC'ers can now enjoy 10% OFF the most practical industry publication dedicated to film, video, and digital entertinament focusing on the U.S. Southwest. Applicable to either Basic or Extra! subscription package.

v DISCOUNTED OR FREE ADMITTANCE to most functions, workshops, and special events sponsored by OTFC or co-sponsored in conjunction with other organizations.

v EXCLUSIVE ACCESS to visit with accomplished film & video personnel who serve as guest speakers in our OKFILM SERIES. (Non-members may get some limited access, but one-on-one interaction is enjoyed at members-only receptions.)

v FREE ONLINE DIRECTORY LISTING of your name or company in this website's OKLAHOMA INDEPENDENT PROFESSIONALS DIRECTORY. Listing includes THE WORKS: your name & mailing address, your resume, credits, photo (optional), hyperlink to your own website, and e-mail address (if applicable) for a faster response to your information! PLUS double listings on the LINKS page, too! OTFC plans to advertise this directory during 2001-2002 in various indie venues to increase national exposure of members listed there.(Non-members are currently excluded from this directory.  However, they can still buy banner ad space to reach their target market here. See below.)

v FREE SUBMISSION of your indie film and video projects into our ongoing OKFILM INDIEFEST Freelance Film & Video Competition. One submitter per round qualifies for grand prize competition at OKFilm IndieFest in the spring, and ALL submitters receive written critiques of their work. (Non-members may submit works, too, with a submission fee for each work submitted. Works are judged on their merits, not on the membership status of submitters.)

v FREE LISTING OF YOUR SCRIPT synopses on our SCRIPTS page! Especially attractive to writers who have works to be promoted to film makers and producers. (There is currently no fee structure in place that would allow non-member synopses to be listed.)

vREGULAR opportunities to mingle and network with Oklahoma Indie Videographers and Film Makers at membership functions and meetings.  Like most businesspeople, indies are more likely to hire or collaborate with people they know and trust.

v OPPORTUNITY to preview and critique freelance works from around the state (if you volunteer to do so) that are submitted to the Indie 2001 Film & Video Competition.

v ACCESS to membership in a federal CREDIT UNION. This is especially attractive to the independent who needs access to privileges that only a credit union can provide.

v 50% DISCOUNT for ADVERTISING RATES in the banner space of this website!  Promote yourself or your project or your business to the target audience that visits this website from the entire World Wide Web. (Ad space is available to non-members at the regular price.)

v FREE SALE of items you may have for sale or exchange on our STUFF FOR SALE page. Think of it as an online classified section, but you can reach the world! Equipment, movie paraphernalia, even non-film related stuff (for instance, your old lawnmower!) (Sale items can be listed for non-members at a % of the asking price. How can you go wrong?)

For a low annual fee, an active member can't go wrong!
We do not guarantee jobs or work for any member, but we do guarantee that we will provide opportunities for you to network and learn and gain exposure amongst fellow participating Oklahoma film & video personnel.
We provide the venues, the rest is up to YOU!

Membership for one year is still only $25.00 for individuals. As of Feb 2001, our Executive Committee is still developing a corporate membership class for business entities with multiple employees or other representation.
