OTFC was originally dedicated to promoting Oklahoma as one of the premiere film locations in the country. These days, OTFC's focus is on those independent and professional film makers and crew who live and work here, rather than on those who come in from the East or West Coasts to shoot their projects here.

Sure, many major studios have filmed here over the past 25 years. With such prominent motion pictures as Rumble Fish, Rainman, Twister, and Tuskegee Airmen, Oklahoma has proven itself time and again as a top film state with its diversity of locations, quality of its technical film workforce and the hospitality of its people. However,OTFC has rededicated itself specifically to promoting Oklahoma independent films, studios, professionals, and students to others in and outside of the state. And if we happen to attract other indies to come collaborate with our indies, we certainly won't complain!

As an organization, OTFC develops networking, educational, promotional, and showcasing venues for Oklahoma's film and video personnel.  Over the years OTFC has featured several prominent film professionals at its annual membership meetings and through the OKFim Series, and has aided other organizations with promoting their groups to the motion picture industry.  And, hey, the more the merrier--we have many members who don't work in the industry at all but just like movies!
